There's a new free sports specific workout online that was just started last Friday (July 9, 2010). It looks like it's going to be a weekly show tentatively scheduled for Fridays. The instructor was Steve Pfiester, a veteran fitness instructor with over 25 years of experience and can be been seen on many reality fitness shows like "fat march".

Steve led an incredible Kempo kickboxing class that shook the studio. Definitely give it a shot - it's free, what have you got to lose? Here's the link. There are also other free workouts.

Fighter comment: GO TO A REAL FIGHT GYM. There is NO substitute for the real thing. Fight training isn't your average workout, and involves specialized (often "creatively engineered") equipment to help train a fighters muscular strength and endurance, as well as their coordination and balance. There is NO better place to get the highest level of cardiovascular and muscular endurance training than a legit fight gym.

Alternatively, and DEFINITELY less beneficial, you can find "The PIT" workouts online, John Hackleman's workout DVD's for fighting training (Chuck Liddell's trainer). Expensive as hell, and not as effective as the real deal, but it's out there. On the cheaper end, Workouts like the "Insanity" DVD set are a similar circuit training plus coordination workout series, with zero martial arts training, but will get you good results for your strength, conditioning, and coordination.
References :
I wouldn't take Taekwondo if you are looking for a self defense class. It looks cool and flashy but if your in an ally or any street fight really I can't see Taekwondo being very effective.
References :
Tae Kwon Do**

You obviously don't know what the term Mixed Martial Arts means. So I'll help you out a little.

The word Mixed means composed of different elements. In this case, it means that it is composed of different martial arts.

Tae Kwon Do is a martial art. So if you took Tae Kwon Do and another martial art, you would be taking Mixed Martial Arts, because you are taking more then one martial art and mixing them together.
References :
Wait, let me get this straight. You are leaning towards "Taekondow" because MMA only teaches punching and kicking?

You didn't even bother to do a half assed wikipedia search on either of these martial arts?
